Kyrkos Apartments

We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the terraces, where we could eat with friends. It's only about 5-10 minutes from the ferry. The rooms have kitchens, and although there's air conditioning, we didn't need it because it stayed cool enough. The owner speaks Bulgarian, which made it easy to understand each other and get tips about the island, beaches, sights and taverns. We'd definitely come back. 🏖⛰️

The location is the main plus. The owner speaks Bulgarian, which helps, but she forgets to switch on the water heater and depends on the solar panels, so there's only enough hot water for the first person. The bathroom is cramped, and after using it the whole room gets flooded. There's no fan, so the dampness spreads through the room. The beds are hard, and the sheets are patched, though clearly with great skill.

Our room was roomy, clean and tidy, with a kitchen for cooking and a big balcony facing the harbor. The hotel is right by the harbor, and they can arrange scooter and car rentals. Staff were attentive and really friendly, which made us feel at ease. We had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return.

I only booked this place because I'd just arrived exhausted after the trip, and it was the first accommodation by the port. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. The room was filthy and neglected, and I had to clean the previous guest's hair out of the bathroom as soon as I arrived. The owners were very rude. They required full prepayment in cash for every night, and we had to wait while they talked on their phones about other customers before we could hand over the money and finally rest. The owner told us to sit and smoke with them and not rush, even though we'd already spent time waiting in the heat. They accepted our pet with whining and irony, despite advertising as pet friendly on booking. I paid 50€/night, but after seeing the island I found much more decent places nearby for less. I stayed 08/24.
