Nama Seaside Villas

We were excited for our stay at Nama Seaside, especially after being upgraded from a small villa to the largest one. Unfortunately, problems started quickly. The upstairs bathroom smelled terribly of rust for all 10 days, including across the whole upper floor, and nothing was done after we reported it. The cleaning staff simply left the bathroom door open. Bird droppings were all over the balcony and much of the outdoor area, including our sunbeds, so it didn’t feel relaxing or luxurious. The worst issue was the pool. During our stay it was never properly circulated. The water was old and dirty, with loads of insects in it, and they only occasionally added fresh water from a garden hose, even in 37 degree heat. We stopped using it after the first day. We sent photos of all these unacceptable issues to the property manager, Eva, but got excuses instead of solutions. She said we could call to have dirt wiped off, even though the cleaners apparently hadn’t noticed it that day while “cleaning” the villa. She suggested turning the balcony chairs around to avoid the bird problem. What kind of service is that? They offered us the smaller villa we’d originally booked. When I asked to see it, Eva sent a link with photos from the website. I said we could look at photos ourselves and wanted to see it in person. She arranged a visit with one of the cleaning ladies, then told us to be careful not to leave dirt in the villa. The irony. We didn’t move because the conditions there were almost the same as in our villa. Nama could be a beautiful place if the staff worked more conscientiously. As things were, we can’t recommend it.
