Mely Hotel

Ari made us feel so welcome, and we had an amazing holiday. The rooms were clean and beautiful with lovely views. From this perfect getaway spot, we could walk to the beach, restaurants, and bars.

We were really happy we picked Mely, and it was excellent value. The spot is ideal, above the road so it's quiet, yet close to the beach and restaurants. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our roomy, clean room had a partial view of the sea and Chora, nice colors, stone flooring, and comfortable, attractive decor. The practical bathroom looked recently renovated. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and unwinding there at night, with flowers and plants around us. A few things could be better: reaching the rooms involves a short incline, about 15 meters; there was no shade on the balcony, so the sun warmed the room around midday and later in the afternoon; the quality furniture needed some care; and the refrigerator needed defrosting. The wooden shutters had no holes, so when closed they let too little air in. I'm not sure whether local rules about traditional architecture require them that way.

For me, this is the best spot in Kapsali: quiet and cool, with a tremendous balcony view, close to the sea and everything else but away from the bars. There's a kitchen too, and the people and location were fantastic. I'll definitely be back next year.

I first booked two nights and ended up staying seven. It might be one of the best hotel stays I've ever had.
