At night, the best view was the dark sky full of bright stars and shooting stars. From the garden seating area you can also see Santorini and other islands, and there’s a lovely terrace beside an old threshing floor. This is a roughly 100-year-old farmhouse, and its hilltop setting overlooking the blue sea gives a real sense of Folegandros. There are showers indoors and out in the garden, and the house’s clever design, the Meltemi wind, and a room fan kept the temperature comfortable without air conditioning. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He picked us up from the port and took us back with our luggage, and gave us a map, an interesting booklet about Folgeandros, and tips for finding good local food. There are several lovely small beaches nearby, as well as the big beach of Karavostasis. Highly recommend!

A great, raw stay in renovated traditional rooms. The views and the energy were amazing. The rooms were really clean, and the staff were super helpful.

The room felt like a little step back in time, with lovely decor, pottery, and traditional cupboards. I even had a small stove to make Greek coffee each morning, a little pleasure I really enjoyed. The place was so quiet, and the sunrise view was amazing. I’d been dreaming about this holiday, and it really did feel like a dream. Vaggelis picked us up at the port and drove us back there on departure day. He also shared island tips on our first day. Thanks so much to Vaggeli and Tilla for the hospitality. I’d definitely recommend it!

Alisideri Studios in Folegandros was in a peaceful, scenic spot, and had a lovely quaint feel. One of the best holidays we’ve ever had.
