Eleni's Studios

We had a really good time at Eleni‘s Studio. It's by the beach, the bed was very comfortable, and someone came each day to clean the floor. The studio was also really nice and very cheap compared with the rest of the island.

For the price, the apartment is good value and relatively large compared with other island hotels. Still, it wasn't very clean, despite a cleaning lady coming every day. I believe she may be the host Eleni's daughter. There was also a strange smell in both the kitchen and toilet. The biggest issue for me was Eleni herself: she was the rudest host I've ever met, and talking with her was almost torture.

We ended up cancelling our booking and finding somewhere pricier, but at least it was clean. At this place the room floor was disgusting, neither vacuumed nor mopped; the old sheets had stains, which we were later told came from wall paint, and were covered in hair. The bathroom was dirty and the handles were slimy. There was no road sign, so when we called the mobile number a rude man told us to ask locals instead of giving directions. The cleaning lady pointed toward room 2 rather than showing us in. When the owner came to inspect, she acted as if she couldn't see the dirt or hair. The cleaning lady brought fresh sheets, then offered another room, but that room was in the same condition. When we asked about cleaning, the owner said we wouldn't leave it in better shape when we left, as if that were our job. She eventually rudely told us to find another place to stay. Avoid it!

We had a really good experience and found the apartments very spacious. The place was great value, especially next to more expensive options, and communicating with the host was no problem at all. We can definitely recommend it.
