Mitsis Norida

Altin and Ervis were always kind, and the entertainment crew were certainly enthusiastic. We enjoyed breakfast, and the main pool looked beautiful, though getting a sunbed meant waking early because people left towels on beds while they were away. The saltwater pool was decent too, but not somewhere to go for peace and quiet. The hotel was okay overall, but didn’t feel five-star. Our room was dated, the minibar was disappointing, and for that rating I’d expect a decent coffee machine. The door didn’t close properly, so the wind made it noisy at night. There was quite a range of food in the main restaurant if you’re not vegetarian, but it wasn’t especially tasty. The other restaurants were nearly fully booked for the entire week by the time we arrived.

The team at Casablanca Bar deserve a special mention. They were excellent, friendly and helpful throughout, and made our evenings special. We also loved the food variety across the buffet and à la carte restaurants, especially the delicious pizza. We spent a week at Mitsis Norida and really enjoyed it. The location was lovely, with a private beach and beautiful views. Our family room was spacious and comfortable, and was cleaned every day.

We had a brilliant week at this lovely hotel, made plenty of memories and met some great people. Everything was fantastic from beginning to end. Ervis was a great waiter, always cheerful and making sure we had a drink while we watched the entertainment. Thanks to him and all the staff for making our stay special.

The food was the biggest letdown. The buffet barely changed from day to day and had very little choice. The advertised themed dinner nights were one of the main reasons we picked the hotel, but they didn’t happen. Evening entertainment was also well below what we expected. Overall, I wouldn’t rate this as a five-star hotel, more like a low four-star. There were some good things. The beachfront location gave us lovely views, and the pebble beach was great for snorkeling, with plenty of fish. Pool shoes are a good idea. There were lots of comfortable sunbeds with umbrellas, and the beach pizza bar was good. My favourite spot was the creperie, open until midnight. The à la carte restaurants were good, though you could only visit three times during a one-week stay. Rooms were dated but clean, in good condition and had what we needed.
