Kalimera Suites

The owner often checked in to see if everything was alright or if we needed anything, and I really appreciated that. It felt like a good place for families with children. In summer it can be windy, which is welcome when the temperatures are high. I also recommend swimming out by the apartments. I spotted at least seven kinds of fish. The sea can be a little colder in June than in the north of the island, but it’s still worth a look. And don’t forget Plaka forest!

We had a lovely sea view from our balcony, and the pool area had plenty of sunbeds. The apartment also had a fridge and coffee making facilities, which came in very handy. Air conditioning cost 5 euros a day. Everything was spotless, with the room cleaned daily and towels changed every few days. We stayed as a couple for eight nights in June 2025. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Our flight from Gatwick was delayed, so we didn't reach Kos until after midnight, but Mr George, the owner, stayed up to check us in. Marios and the rest of the staff were lovely, and when we missed the bus, Marios gave us a lift into Kardemana. We couldn't fault the place and plan to return next June.

With just 14 apartments, this was a really relaxing place, and sometimes it felt like we had the pool and its free sunbeds to ourselves. The pool was great, and the snack bar did nice drinks, toasties, salads and bagels. My son was especially happy with his Nutella waffles every day, which he rated 10/10. Marios, Mr George and Tonia were amazing hosts, and the young man working in the restaurant was very friendly. The apartments were clean and tidy, with mosquito nets on the doors. The shower was dated and left water all over the bathroom, which was the one small annoyance. Air conditioning is a must in summer. There’s a supermarket about 200 metres up the road, and a regular bus to Kardemena stops outside the hotel next door and goes back via the Mitsis hotels. We loved our stay and would return.

The pool and beach were close by, both clean and inviting, and there were plenty of sun loungers. We enjoyed the food and drinks at the poolside snack bar throughout our stay. Our apartment was peaceful, a great place to relax as a family with our child. From the moment we arrived at Sweet Kalimera Apartments, Marios, Georgios and Tonia welcomed us warmly and were always ready to help. We had a wonderful holiday and are already looking forward to coming back. I’d highly recommend it for a calm, enjoyable family stay.
