Olympia Mare

One of our favourite moments was seeing the sunrise from the beach. The beach was private, the water clear, and there were hardly any people around. Sunbeds were provided. We also loved looking out from our ground-floor terrace across the well-kept garden and its palm trees to the sea. We had requested a ground-floor apartment, and the bedroom's sliding doors opened onto the private terrace with table and chairs. Our mother and daughter holiday at the OM was wonderfully relaxing. The hotel is secluded, around a 20-minute walk along the road from Kardamena, with a bus running about every hour as well. The apartment was spacious, clean and traditional, with a large double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room and kitchen area. The bathroom had a bath with a shower attachment, toilet, sink and hairdryer. The complimentary toiletries were high quality, and the coffee pods were topped up daily. Nikos, the owner, and the rest of the staff took great care of us. Nikos gave us helpful advice on restaurants and things to do nearby. Try to catch the sunset from the mountain village Zia, it's unforgettable. We'll certainly return to the OM. Highly recommended, and a big thank you from Andrea and Christine.

Nikos, the owner, was a highlight of the hotel. He was knowledgeable, kind and helpful, with lots of tailored tips and recommendations. Even after checkout, he let us keep using the hotel beach and lent us towels and everything. That was so nice. We stayed for seven nights at the beginning of September and wished we could stay longer. It's a dream place for a quiet, relaxing and private holiday. Our room was spacious and clean, and the beach is right in front, about a 20-second walk away. We loved the convenience. The water was clear and clean, and we hardly saw anyone swimming, so most of the time it felt like we had it to ourselves. The other guests were respectful, and everyone had enough privacy.

The quiet setting and the way guests kept to themselves were just what we wanted. Arriving later than planned didn't bother Nikos, the owner, who was kind and accommodating. His suggestions for activities and places to eat matched what I'd already researched, which was reassuring. For a self-service stay, this is probably the best place on Kos when you consider the private beach and the distance to dining, the airport and other attractions. Highly recommended!

We always love coming back to Olympia Mare. The garden is lovely, and from the comfortable apartments you get a great view of the sea. Nikos is such a warm, welcoming owner. With the beautiful Aegean just a few steps away, the whole place feels peaceful and easygoing. We really enjoy being here.
