Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight, with views over the Aegean Sea and the Kardamyla valley, one of the island's few remaining green areas. The eggs were really fresh, and the staff were glad to make other things we wanted. Everyone was welcoming and very polite, and all the spaces are accessible. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, spotless, and come with a fully equipped small kitchenette, living room, dining table, and plenty of storage, handy for a longer holiday. It's also well placed for exploring Chios, especially the north, with its clear-water beaches, picturesque villages, the Agio Gala grotto, historic Anavatos, and the famous monasteries. Chios is a big island, though, so you'll need to rent a car wherever you stay. We'd happily recommend it.
