Lamprini made us feel very welcome, and breakfast the next morning was simple but tasty. It helped that I could speak some Greek, as communication might otherwise have been tricky. The en-suite room was small but very clean, with a large balcony looking out toward the lake and nearby church. It's in a quiet part of Neochori, just a short walk from a couple of tavernas and a bar. Thank you, Lamprini. It was lovely meeting you. Karen and Martin

Mrs. Lambrini was a wonderful hostess and even brought us a delicious spinach pie for breakfast. She was so sweet that it felt like being at home. The house is nice, with small rooms and shared spaces. We came at the end of August and, luckily, had the place to ourselves, so there were no problems.

The location, for both its distance and the view, was the only good thing. The owner was unacceptable, intrusive, and gossipy. When we arrived, she commented about other guests, and when we asked where to shop or eat, she wasn't willing to give us an answer. She kept pushing us to stay at her house for coffee or food and keep her company. We got the impression she went into our room as soon as we left. The room was dusty and full of bugs, including a scorpion we found. The bathroom was dirty and smelled damp and stuffy. When we asked for toilet paper, she brought it from her own bathroom, as she lived in the house below. We asked her to change the sheets because we weren't feeling well, and she was extremely rude about it.
