The food was delicious, and the hotel was spotless. Theo and his mother were such lovely hosts, kind and thoughtful, with little touches that made me feel very welcome. The public rooms have an Art Deco feel. The bedrooms and bathrooms are simple, and a refurb is next on the owners’ list. I’m so glad my holiday company chose this hotel. They made my holiday special.

The owners and staff were friendly, and the place was spotlessly clean. The gardens and surroundings looked good too, though we didn’t spend time there. The rooms were tiny and basic, with the cheapest fittings throughout. There was only one usable outlet for charging phones, and the fridge was using it. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, so there was no internet. I know it has a 1-star rating, but this felt like hostel accommodation rather than a hotel.

We had to change our dates at the very last minute, and the owners rebooked us without charging anything. I absolutely loved the vintage hotel feel. The rooms are simple and clean, the garden and breakfast area are lovely, and the pool is great. I’ll definitely stay with them again next time I’m on Samos.

For a budget hotel, it was much better than we expected. The rooms were clean, the pool was lovely, and the family running the place treated us like friends. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend it.

Astir was a peaceful place to spend time, with lovely grounds and a pool where we could relax. Our simple room had everything we needed and was comfortable and quiet. The hosts were absolutely lovely and helped with all our needs. We felt so welcome and looked after, the best of Greek hospitality. It’s a short distance from the port and town, while still being far enough away to enjoy the quiet surroundings. Highly recommend it in Karlovassi.
