The buildings are new and clean, the view is amazing, and the pool is great. Breakfast was very good too, though it might get repetitive on a longer stay. We were excited to come because the photos looked beautiful, and there were some real highlights. But privacy and management were major problems. The buildings are clustered close together, and there are no blinds on the windows. We could see our neighbor naked through his bedroom window, which was at ground level beside the parking lot. The manager’s manner was also troubling. I found the lady rude and abrasive, and we ended up arguing for 30 minutes about family members visiting and sitting by the pool. Nobody else was around, and we weren’t making any noise. She said we needed permission in advance and accused me of sneaking around. Since when do you need permission to have guests at the villa you’re renting and paying a significant amount for? The manager admitted there had been no complaints, but said it was policy. That policy wasn’t written down anywhere. After visiting over 30 countries, this was a first for me.

The gardens around the villas were so beautiful, I felt like I was in paradise. The villas themselves are new, with a lovely minimal design and a nice sea view. The staff were friendly and polite, always offering help when we needed it. I’ve visited many places, but haven’t seen such a wonderful outdoor area around villas. I’d recommend it for a peaceful, comfortable, healthy holiday.

Istia is a lovely group of four spacious villas in Modern Cycladic style, sharing a large and beautiful pool. They look every bit as gorgeous as the photos. The staff were great and helpful from booking through departure. Karpathos town is just down the hill for dining and shopping, and two beaches are within a short drive of under 10 minutes. My only small complaint is that the steal patio chairs are a bit uncomfortable and could use padding on the seats and backs.

The complex is beautiful, with sensational views and great infrastructure. The rooms weren’t made on one of our four days, and friends and guests, including small children, don’t seem very welcome. Service also felt a bit tense and not very accommodating. Still, it’s certainly a place with a real wow effect.

You’ll find comfort, delight, and relaxation here, along with an amazing view. The services are absolutely excellent. It’s a wonderful place, and I totally recommend these villas!
