The hotel is trying hard to reach five stars, but there’s a clear “almost” to it. They charge for water and coffee at dinner and breakfast, and the food they serve is almost good. The room itself is really good, though they’ve picked the smallest TV they could. Netflix is available, but the Wi-Fi only lets it work some of the time. Anna at reception was really nice. The rest of the experience was nowhere near five stars.

I couldn’t reach the hotel’s website, so I left a one-star review to get their attention. They replied quickly with an email address and asked me to remove the review. I took it down and sent them an email, but they never responded. It seems they care about reviews and star ratings, and nothing else.

The pools were fantastic, and the beach was lovely and clean, with a breathtaking view. The location is great and the rooms are fine, but the food let everything down. Breakfast and especially dinner were below standard for a five-star hotel. We visited at the end of the season, but that still wasn't an excuse. One more thing to know: the bathroom and toilet in triple rooms have transparent glass that can't be changed, which isn't comfortable when staying with friends or family.

We spent all eight days here and came away delighted. The beach is gorgeous, the staff are wonderful, and the dinners were tasty with plenty of variety. The rooms were clean, housekeeping came daily, and towels and sheets were replaced. Breakfast, though, was the same every day: eggs, bacon, yogurt, and little variety. It also felt as if everything was set up for Italians, even though guests come from other countries too, which was upsetting. I don't speak English, but I still managed to communicate with the staff. There was a particularly warm and attentive man at reception, and I think he deserved to be paid a little more than the women there. There are a few drawbacks, but many more good points, so I'd recommend the hotel for a holiday.
