I first stayed here about 20 years ago, and Costas is still the owner. It's a nice, small family-run hotel with spacious rooms and a separate bathroom where the hot water comes through quickly.

The owners are very friendly and polite. It's good value for money in Pigadia, Karpathos. The place could use a little renovation, but that's not a big problem.

A terrible place. There's mold on the fridge, the shower doesn't work, and the door won't lock. The AC looks so disgusting that you'd rather sleep in the summer heat.

We booked this place because finding somewhere on the island that would take dogs was really hard. The location worked well, right downtown, with shops and taverns easy to reach on foot. Our room, number 2, was cramped for two and had no balcony. One of the beds was really a flat sofa with a mattress laid on it. The room felt stuffy, and there was nowhere obvious to hang clothes, though there were two clotheslines nearby. The building is old, like many places to stay here. The main plus for us was that dogs were welcome.

We spent the whole evening dealing with cockroaches. It was an absolute low point, the worst thing that's happened to me. What a shame for the island and for tourism in our country.
