The hosts are super nice, and the view is the best in Karpathos. Thanks so much, we loved the island!

The rooms are nice and the location is good, though I wouldn’t recommend Pigadia as an area and would choose somewhere like Arkasa next time. I found the hosts very focused on money. Don’t send money directly in advance to reserve a room: there’s no flexibility to change a booking, even when a problem comes up, and I felt there was little understanding. It’s also a bit expensive for what you get, as similar rooms elsewhere on the island can cost 15-20% less. If you book here, I’d use Booking.com or another platform to avoid dealing with them directly. At this price, you can find alternatives with breakfast included. Water pressure was very weak despite the new showers, and there weren’t many dishes.

Xenos Zeus Hotel is a small family place run by George and Elena. The apartments have a great view, and the rooms are very clean, with daily cleaning. Fresh towels and sheets are provided every two days, two per person. The owners, George and Elina, are welcoming and helpful in every way. It’s a quiet, peaceful location, though you need to be up for a brisk walk each day to get back to the hotel. We’ve stayed there for the last five years, and Xenios Zeus Hotel has been our favorite Greek place to stay on Karpathos.

The view over the beach and harbour is incredible from this hotel up on the mountain. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and the rooms were spotless. The staff were so kind, too. It’s the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in, and we’d love to come back every summer. Thanks to George and Eleni, we’ll see you next year!
