Ammon Garden Hotel

They charged us €15 per car for parking, although there were no visible signs or advance notice that it was private and would cost money. It was disappointing to have them close the port without giving us proper information as well. If parking has a fee, that should be clearly shown and explained beforehand. The whole experience left us with a negative impression of the place.

A peaceful, small and cozy hotel, with clean rooms and friendly staff. The sea and the lively nightlife are both just a short walk away, so it was a lovely place for a relaxing holiday.

We stayed at the Ammon hotel for seven days, and the stay unfortunately wasn’t what we expected. The two young women were helpful when we needed them and with the cocktails they made, but our room had several problems. There was no hairdryer. We had to contact reception ourselves before they gave us one from another room. On four occasions there was no hot water when we wanted to shower, which is unacceptable. One morning we ordered two club sandwiches. The menu said they came with potatoes, but didn’t mention cucumber. The sandwiches had cucumber and no potatoes, and we couldn’t actually eat them. They still charged us, even though it was their mistake. Just because we booked through the social tourism program doesn’t mean we should be treated like this. You get your money back as usual, and we aren’t stealing from you. LOVE AND PEACE ✌️

The blonde woman at reception spoke English fluently and was really helpful, and being close to the beach and restaurant area was a big plus. The breakfast may not suit picky eaters. I’d add scrambled eggs and replace the small sausages. Our room could use a couple of small fixes: there was no toilet paper holder or shower gel holder. The garden area could also use some cleaning help. We made coffee in the room mugs and drank it at the table, but staff didn’t help clean up or take them away. Since we didn’t have detergent, we only rinsed them with water. On the plus side, the smart TV let me connect to Netflix at night. We’re happy with our stay at this accommodation. Thanks!
