The pool was nice, and the views from the balconies were absolutely beautiful. The location is good too, a short walk from Avlaki pebbly beach and a short drive to Kassiopi and the area's sandy beaches. But the accommodation is a far cry from a “3-star hotel” and very outdated, as the pictures show. There's only air conditioning in the kitchen. We had to ask management for electric fans and put them in the corridors to get a draft, which meant everyone slept with doors open. The old hob and oven made cooking take ages. The shower tray is so small that showers flood the bathroom floor, and there's a mop for cleaning it up. The Wi-Fi barely worked. The camp bed for the fifth guest had a thin mattress and was super uncomfortable. The management company representative, Gianna, was unhelpful, and I'd go as far as to say rude.

We arranged a shuttle to and from the airport through Hoops, which meant we could avoid hiring a car. Alvaki beach is a short walk away, and Cavo Barbaro taverna serves great food. This is a lovely two-bedroom apartment in a villa with four apartments. The grounds are a good size, and the pool gives you privacy and peace. The kitchen has a good choice of cooking facilities and utensils, making it easy to cater for yourself. The only reasons I haven't given five stars are that there's no sea view, and shops and other services are a bit out of the way. A car would easily solve that.

The rooms aren't very spacious, but it's a quiet part of the island with a nice view. The pool is a nice bonus.
