It was completely peaceful and restful, with plenty of hot water for showers. The three sisters who run it were excellent hostesses, and they prepared all the breakfast by hand. It’s right on the lake in Kastoria on the quieter end, but restaurants are still an easy walk away.
Kastoria is my hometown, and this is where I stay when I come from Australia. The family who runs the hotel treat guests like their own family, and nothing is too much trouble. I spent nearly two weeks there this time and had to keep working on my business laptop. The lounge was an ideal place to work, hot drinks and snacks were available around the clock, and there was always a staff member around. You won’t find a more welcoming place.
The room was clean and cozy, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, especially the handmade pies and Greek coffee. Really lovely hospitality, highly recommended.
The family running this beautiful hostel are genuinely friendly, and the view is charming. I'd say don't hesitate.
