The heating kept cutting out, and cold air came through from the bathroom across from the bed. We were freezing until we piled on all the spare duvets they had. Then there were drilling-like noises at dawn, and when we went to pay, finding someone took so long that we were late for where we needed to be. The cleanliness bothered me from the start. When I first went into the room to leave my things, the towels smelled and there were black hairs all over the bathroom. I begged him to bring fresh towels and clean it again, and he did. But in the morning I spotted spiders all over the walls and dust on every surface. By then, everything just felt dirty to me. I wasn’t happy with anything: sleep, warmth, comfort, location, none of it. Personally, I can’t recommend it.

The service was complete and the setting was lovely, with a great view of Vitsi mountain in Kastoria.
