The staff were amazing, and we had an unforgettable stay. One of the loveliest places we’ve ever been, perfect in every way. Thank you so much!

My husband and I planned our Greece trip for months so we could choose from the best available hotels, and we were thrilled when we found Eden. We booked through a third-party site with a pay-at-property reservation: half was to be collected when booking and the rest at the hotel. We could also cancel up to 21 days before check-in. Four days after booking, I noticed our card hadn’t been charged. I messaged through the app and was told they just hadn’t charged it yet but would soon. Around three months later, Eden emailed me outside the app saying there was a problem charging the deposit and I had 24 hours to call. I happened to see the email within five minutes. I called and left a message, used the contact form on their website, messaged through the booking app and sent a regular email. I keep a close eye on our finances, so I also checked with the card company. They had no record of a hotel trying to charge our account. I briefly wondered if I’d mistyped the number, but that seemed very unlikely since the system wouldn’t have accepted an invalid card number. The third-party site said it couldn’t access our card details because we were supposed to pay Eden directly, and told us to contact the hotel. I first replied in the afternoon our time, and they’re seven hours ahead, so I repeated all the calls and messages the next morning. I finally got someone on the phone and thought we could sort it out. But although they’d told me to call, they said they couldn’t take card details over the phone and that the booking site had to collect them. I explained I’d already spoken with the site, which said that wasn’t possible for a pay-at-property booking. Eden then said they’d send me a link to enter the card details and agreed to do that within an hour. Instead, I got an email telling me to contact the booking site again. Over the next ten days, there must have been about 15 messages between Eden, the third-party site and me. I kept repeating myself, hoping Eden would honor the reservation. After a day or so, I began to suspect they’d overbooked and were trying to frustrate us into cancelling. I was determined not to cancel and was ready to keep explaining the situation as many times as needed. Around day 15, Eden cancelled our reservation, which had been on the books for nearly three months. We had to scramble to find another hotel. Eden wasted almost three months of our valuable vacation planning time. I was flabbergasted by how little care or concern they showed about the effect this was having on potential customers. If I could give them a zero, I would.

The beach was a lovely place to spend time, and we stopped at Eden for drinks when we got thirsty. The bar staff were really kind, and both the Greek aperol spritz and the smoothies were delicious. Since there were only a few guests around, we could use the pool after buying drinks. Everything looks new and modern, so we'd consider staying here next time.

The staff and food made our three-night stay at Eden especially lovely. We were a family of five, and the modern, comfortable accommodation suited us well. It’s a tucked-away spot on the beach in Naxos, and we’d happily come back. We’d recommend it to anyone after a distinctive place to stay.

It was such a memorable stay, and great for kids too. The staff were amazing and completely focused on making us feel looked after. The food had that home-cooked feel, like something your mum or grandma might make, and much of it was grown there. Add a gorgeous, quiet beach, still air, wind, and clear skies, and it all felt just right.
