Kaerati Apartments

Antonio welcomed us warmly and was a terrific host whenever we needed anything. He even brought us a fresh piece of cake from a local pastry shop every morning, which was delicious. The apartments were bigger and nicer than the photos suggested, clean, well decorated, and in a handy spot for grocery shops, restaurants, a little beach, and the port. We spent four nights in the one with the huge terrace and its breathtaking bay view, then one night in the apartment for five. A door between them could connect the two for families who still want some privacy. It worked perfectly for us, and I recommend it 100%. One of our best stays ever!

The view is perfect, and we really enjoyed our two days there. The rooms were clean, too. Be ready for an uphill walk to reach the apartments, and you can't get very close by car. That's the only drawback, though, and the view more than makes up for it.

Themis took great care of the guests and provided excellent service. Everything was super clean. There are a lot of stairs on the way up, but you get nice views of the port and Katapola beach.

The bay view is stunning, and the two sweet cats seem to greet visitors and keep them company during their stay. The place is on a hill in town, close to restaurants, the ferry terminal, and within walking distance of Maltezi, the island's best beach. There are steps, though the slope is gentle enough that we found the climb easy. Inside, the decor is tasteful and there's everything you might need, including a kitchen. Both the double bed and sofa bed had very firm, comfortable mattresses. I've spent summers in the Cyclades for three years, and this is the best accommodation I've tried by far. Michael, the manager, was incredibly attentive: he picked us up at the ferry, gave us an island map with restaurant and sightseeing suggestions, brought two slices of cake each morning for breakfast, and arranged a rental car.
