Elea Suites & Residences

If you get one of the new suites, it's really nice. They're beautiful, and the service was friendly, with room service doing a good job. The hotel was quiet too. The other rooms are old and very small for far too much money. Gouves itself didn't do much for us either. We found only an overpriced supermarket and a restaurant with a lovely view that was also far too expensive.

The rooms and service were great. Breakfast costs a bit more, but you get a generous serving and plenty of good-quality choices. The location is okay. You're near a main road and can hear some noise, though it wasn't unbearable.

We spent our honeymoon here and loved the peaceful atmosphere, even with other couples and small families around. The suite was spacious, with a sitting area, little dining table, kitchenette, lovely bathroom and a bright, beautiful bedroom. We also had our own balcony with a table and chairs. The pool sits right among the suites, with great loungers and umbrellas, and we spent a lot of time there. Pool towels were provided too. Reception staff often checked in with us to see if we needed anything, and housekeeping came daily to make the bed and bring towels. The restaurant is open most of the day, and we ate there several times. The food was delicious and good value. We especially liked the homemade lemonade and strawberry daiquiri. There was plenty close by. Shops, restaurants and the beach are a five-minute walk down the road. We rented a car to go toward Heraklion, about 15 minutes away, with its beautiful beaches. We'd absolutely come again.

The room was bright, airy and lovely, and you can tell they recently spent money on it. The pool never felt too busy, which was great with the kids. It's a good setup for families without being all about children, and the mix of families and young couples worked well. Elea felt like a home away from home, relaxed and comfortable. They were always ready to help with whatever we needed. Highly recommended, and we'd definitely return.
