The rooftop views are beautiful, and we found it enjoyable up there even though the setup isn’t as fancy as the neighbours’ yet. Depending on your room, there’s also a lovely sea view and a cute little church top in sight. I liked my first solo stay so much that I came back with my boyfriend. The hosts are lovely, it’s quite good value, and the place is super clean with everything you need. The pool isn’t huge, but it’s pleasant and has a kids’ area. It’s only a few minutes on foot, down and up the hill, to reach the beach, shops, and restaurants.

There were ants all over my room on the first day. The room’s security was also poor: the doors didn’t lock, and there were holes, so cold air couldn’t be kept in. The windows could be opened from outside. The photos are fake and photoshopped; all the leaves are from the hotel next door. The man at reception was rude. When we complained about the ants, he said he’d come, but it took three hours. He sprayed three pumps and left without seeming to care, saying ants and spiders are natural. He even called to complain about a drop of my girlfriend’s period blood and said he had to throw away the bedsheet, as if that weren’t natural. Then he moved us to another room that was full of ants and spiders, with poop on the bathroom floor.

The bungalow was in bad shape and nothing matched what booking had promised or what the pictures showed. There was nobody at reception to speak with, and when we complained or asked for help, we got no answer.

It has all the amenities you might need. The pool is good for a dip at the end of the day, and the view from up top is a must-see.
