Egnatia City Hotel & Spa

I’ve stayed here twice and had a great time both times. Penelope was wonderful, always smiling and making sure we were well looked after. During our first visit we had a health crisis, and she went above and beyond to help us. Thank you, Penelope, for being such a lovely person.

We felt at home as soon as Mrs. V welcomed us and looked after us so thoughtfully. Egnatia Hotel in Kavala is beautiful and has a stunning view. We didn’t get around to having a rooftop cocktail while watching the sunset, so we have a reason to return. Highly recommended.

Getting to and from this 4-star hotel is easy, even if you’re visiting Kavala for the first time, and I found it good value for both work and leisure. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped, with many looking out over the sea and city. Inside, the lobby and shared areas feel elegant but welcoming, and the hotel keeps up that comfortable, high-end feel throughout. Service and cleanliness were excellent, too. The spa is well maintained and has professional staff. Room service was prompt and polite, and being available around the clock is a useful convenience. The restaurant serves a thoughtfully chosen mix of Greek food and international favorites. For something more casual, there’s a coffee lounge, and both places have elegant interiors and panoramic views.

We picked Ignatia Hotel in Kavala by chance and ended up staying longer than planned. We were even given a free room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel has a relaxing spa, an evening rooftop restaurant, and a nice terrace where we enjoyed breakfast with a view. Penelope at reception was especially kind and helpful. She offered ideas for places to see and eat, and gave us a city map marked with the main sights, which made getting around Kavala much easier. We were so glad we chose this hotel and would highly recommend it. Everything about the stay was amazing.
