Anemomylos Houses

The beach is right across the road, and the location is fabulous. My room was nicely decorated, a little cramped but with a comfy bed and a private outdoor sitting spot. The shower gel and shampoo were a nice touch. I took off stars because the hospitality fell short. The host wasn't there; her mother greeted us, and she spoke very little English. We stayed three nights, but the bathroom towels weren't changed. I had thought that was usually done every second day. The pedal bin, which was the only trash can in the room, was emptied after the first night and then not again until I asked. Her answer, relayed by a friend or neighbour, was "tomorrow" because the cleaner couldn't come that day. She eventually came herself and emptied it, which I appreciated. On the Greek Islands you're not meant to flush toilet paper, so it has to go in that bin. Having to ask for it to be emptied wasn't ideal, especially since the room and, as I understand it, the service are advertised as "Deluxe". There was also banging on the walls for more than half an hour one morning between 10 and 11. Someone must have been doing work in the apartment above.

The coast views, including the islands, were stunning, and the hosts, especially John, were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Tucked into beautiful gardens away from the road, the apartment was clean, well designed, and very comfortable. It's peaceful out here, with the nearest beach only about 250 metres away and town a short walk.

The garden's shared space and BBQ grill were wonderful. The rooms were clean, the staff really nice, and they included a transfer to and from the port. It's also in a great spot, close to the island's most beautiful beaches.

A pleasant, quaint place with friendly hosts and great cleaning staff. Just allow some time for the hot water to heat up when you get back. Electricity in the room is switched on and off with a magnet key system, depending on whether you're there.
