Sergios Hotel

The food was excellent throughout our stay. The head chef deserves credit for the well-cooked dishes and good variety, including Greek favourites like moussaka, stifado, and lamb sheesh kebabs, along with salads, pasta, and plenty of desserts. There was fresh watermelon each day for the pool, and drinks were self-serve: soft drinks, juice, water, beer, and red and white wine. The cocktails were lovely too. Sofia, Fred, Luigi, and Mark at the bar were cheerful, friendly, and always up for a chat. Even when it was busy, they made sure guests were looked after. All the restaurant, bar, and front desk staff helped create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We stayed five nights in October with my mate, paying around £70 per night between us. We arrived at about 1 a.m. and Stellios at reception greeted us with a huge smile. Having a 24-hour reception was a relief, as I hadn’t been able to confirm it when booking and called after landing to check we could get in. Stellios checked us in, took care of the room tax, gave us the key, and told us the team had saved food for us since we’d missed dinner. We were in room 504 at the back, which was spacious, modern, and nicely designed, with touches like black taps and shower fittings. After dropping off our bags, we found cold cuts, cheese, dolmades, and bread waiting. It was delicious and just what we needed after travelling. The room had a double bed, but we preferred two singles. Stellios made a note, and the cleaning team changed the mattress topper the next day. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. We also had a small south-facing balcony with a table and chair, looking out at the sunset over the mountains. The blackout curtains worked well, and when we asked for an extra pillow after a couple of nights, it arrived promptly. Checkout was at 11 a.m. on our last day, and because the hotel was full we couldn’t extend our stay. But we were allowed to use the pool and all-inclusive facilities until our airport transfer at 9 p.m., which was a big bonus. There’s also a shower room behind reception where we could freshen up before leaving, a thoughtful touch. I loved the stay enough that I’ve already booked to return next October. See you in 2026, Hotel Sergios! Could we have room 504 again? We also paid around £70 per night between the two of us. Actually, this was for five nights in October with my mate.
