The staff at reception were warm, attentive, and happy to chat. They even let me see the room before I paid, which felt unusual these days. The hilltop setting is quiet, with a nice view, and the outside terrace was pleasant. The room itself was dated and not very clean. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and dead insects on the floor, the toilet seemed to have had only a quick clean, and the shower water smelled metallic. It took ages for the water to warm up, and it never got properly hot. The towels and bed looked and smelled clean, but the rest of the room made me doubt its cleanliness. I was in a desperate spot and had already seen the room, so I stayed. I wouldn't recommend the hotel unless money is really tight and cleanliness isn't a big concern for you. For about 20 euros more, you can find somewhere newer and cleaner.

The room was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the city, and everything felt quiet and peaceful. The Wi-Fi and AC both worked well, and the staff were helpful and full of information. Thanks especially to Thanos for the beach tips. We'd been put off by some of the negative reviews before arriving, but our stay was great from check-in to leaving. The place has a calm, nostalgic feel, with nature and hill views around it. It's especially handy if you're driving, since parking in Kavala city center is terrible. We'd happily come back.

Some rooms have a lovely view toward Kavala, and the hotel works well for a one-night stop on a trip. I was welcomed warmly late at night, and the coffee in the morning was nice. The only concern was an irritating itch when I got into bed. The room looked clean, but I suspected there might be bed mites.

The sea and Kavala city views are great, and the staff were generous and kind. After I checked out at 11am, they let me work in the comfortable lobby and bar until the end of the day, and even offered me cake and water for free. It's right by the highway, so it's a handy overnight stop if you're passing through. Honestly, the 3.7 Google rating seems misleading to me. I'd give it five stars.

A quiet room, a clean space, and AC that worked perfectly. We got a really warm welcome and great hospitality. It's also in a great spot, just two minutes from the highway, so it's an easy place to stop over. Highly recommend it.
