Sunrise Apartments

The beach here is stunning, and the pool was a lovely place to unwind. There were always loungers available, and the other guests and locals around the pool were friendly. We stayed in July at this family-run place and found it spotless, well looked after, and equipped with everything we needed. The staff made us feel at home and were always glad to help. Meals were fresh, tasty, good value, and offered plenty of choice. Taxis made it easy to get to nearby places, and parking was available if you rent a car. We enjoyed the mix of quiet relaxation and Greek hospitality so much that we've already booked for next year. I'd recommend it to anyone after a peaceful holiday in Corfu.

The pool and bar area were lovely, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Hara was a real asset, with great service. The rooms are very basic, though they have what you need. We chose the place because of the reviews, but it felt like a 2-star stay to me. Towels and bedding were changed only twice during our visit. There was a cliquey feel, with many guests on their second or third trip. The BBQ wasn't worth the money, the meat was so tough it seemed to need a chainsaw. Getting around on foot also felt unsafe because there are no pavements. You get what you pay for, but I wouldn't come back.

The small complex made it easy to get to know other guests, and many had returned before. My daughter Evie and I came for a week in June, just three days after she'd finished her GCSEs, and we both needed a rest. We loved the gorgeous pool, the amazing food, and the private beach, where I could have floated on my lilo for hours. Hara, the team, and especially the lovely housekeeper were so kind and welcoming. The AC was very cheap and a joy to have. When I fell ill near the end of the week, everyone who looked after me helped Evie feel less anxious about having to be the grown up. We'd love to return. Have a fab season!

The views of the mainland were breathtaking, and the location was lovely. The grounds and pool area were very clean and in great condition, and the room was basic but clean, with the maid coming daily. I enjoyed the tasty food, which seemed fairly priced for the location. Still, ants appeared on the countertops from the second day, and the air con leaked so badly that the balcony could have been a swimming pool. We were told we couldn't bring our own water bottles to the pool, while other people were allowed to. It felt cliquey, and we got the sense that if you weren't liked, you'd know it. The tourists we met were welcoming, at least. We had booked after seeing reviews that made this seem like a hidden gem, so I'm gutted to be disappointed. It could have been lovely, and I probably would have booked again otherwise.
