The way the staff handled a simple misunderstanding left us with a very negative impression. After lunch at the restaurant, we asked twice if we could have coffee on the beach sunbeds, and both times staff said yes. We went down and ordered using the QR code system. Soon after, a waitress came over and rudely told us the sunbeds cost €50. We explained that we'd just checked with the restaurant and had been told we could go down without a problem. She only said “OK” and walked away, without mentioning any charge. When the coffees arrived, the receipt showed €57, including €50 for the sunbeds. We went back to the restaurant to ask about it. The manager kept insisting that “sunbeds must be paid for” instead of listening to what we were saying: her team had already confirmed we could use them without mentioning an extra charge. If we'd known, we'd simply have had our coffee at the table. It took a lot of explaining that we weren't disputing the price of a service, just the lack of communication, before they agreed to refund the €50. Something that should have taken a little attention and willingness to listen became an unnecessarily uncomfortable situation. The waitress's inappropriate attitude and the manager's lack of self-awareness felt unworthy of a place aiming to offer a quality experience. It's a real shame, since we'd planned to eat at this restaurant for lunch and dinner over the next 15 days. The location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a holiday. The customer service was excellent, and the staff were super polite and professional. Amazing hotel, one of the best spots on earth!

I've just checked in, and this has been a total waste of time and money. The road there is tough but passable, and at least it's wide. The room is terribly small and unclean, with old equipment, including an AC that must be about 20 years old. The mattress is the softest, worst one I've ever tried. The beach and sea are okay, nothing special by Greek standards. I paid for 10 days and will probably sleep one night and leave.

The beach right in front of Spathi Beach Suites is stunning and very clean, and the staff were attentive and kind. But the food and hygiene were well below expectations. The breakfast buffet was disappointing and didn't start until 9:00 a.m., which is frustrating if you get up early. Plates and cutlery were often dirty, and the food looked unappetizing and tasted bland. There were very few main dish options during the day, and the quality didn't get any better after breakfast. The room layout was awkward too. The bathroom had no curtain or divider, so showering flooded the whole floor. The tissue paper was right by the shower and kept getting wet, which made it unpleasant.

The location is impressive, but with no other hotels nearby, there seems to be no competition. We arrived by boat with 10 people for dinner, and four of us stayed one night in a room. The room itself was okay and tidy inside, but the terrace and sunbeds were dirty, and large spiders were hanging around the windows. The restaurant was a joke apart from its ambience. Every dish was badly made: the portions were tiny, the food tasted bad, the meat was chewy, the fries soggy, the pork chops rare, and the rice extremely dry. The staff were nice but poorly trained, and never asked if everything was okay. There are lots of bad reviews, but they don't seem to change anything. Breakfast the next day confirmed it: cold eggs, omelets and bacon, dry bread, sugary juices, and an extra charge for good coffee from the machine. We're happy to be back on the boat. I told the manager about our complaints, but I doubt anything will change with no competing hotels or restaurants nearby. Don't come here, it's a tourist rip-off.
