The beach and nearby restaurant are fantastic. We swam out to the little island and had a heavenly time there. Supermarket Jim is just down the road, with a broad range of goods, and the people there are absolutely delightful and considerate. The clean, functional rooms at The Maritsa Studio also have a kitchenette and fridge freezer, which helped us keep holiday costs down. Maritsa is friendly, and the cats are lovely. They’re fed already, so there’s no need to give them titbits.

It was so quiet and relaxed, and the other guests seemed to be there for the same reason. Everyone was respectful and friendly, just looking to rest. The host was lovely and helpful, made me feel very welcome, and made my stay comfortable.

The lady is really nice, and the place is quiet, clean and cheap, with everything you need. There’s no pool on site, but you can use public pools around the area, including at restaurants. Payment had to be in cash, so I waited until the next morning since they didn’t take cards. The bus stops right outside for Kefalos old town, the airport and Kos town. I walked most places and only took the bus to Kos town. The beach and supermarket are just minutes away. Lovely place.

We booked this for a week on a budget with a friend, mainly because of where it is. The beach is just a five-minute walk away.
