Villa Daizy

The rooms were quite nice, clean, and reasonably furnished, but that was the only good part of our stay. The owners watched everything we did and were extremely controlling. Even whispering in the room or walking quietly in the hallway could bring them over to scold us. Several times they threatened to throw us out over completely normal behavior. It felt more like staying in a convent or a strict family resort than a relaxing hotel. The description never mentioned this obsessive demand for total silence. If we’d known, we’d definitely have chosen somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re planning a silent retreat.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the service was very good. Since we had an early flight to Zakynthos, they even got our room ready very early. The room was a bit dated, but that wasn’t an issue for us. What did cause trouble was the thin walls: we could clearly hear people talking loudly in the next room or upstairs, which could interrupt a needed nap or sleep. A plug in mosquito repellent was definitely missing.

We had a really good time. The villa is handy for the beach, restaurants, and the main road, and the host was warm and helpful. The rooms looked like the photos and were cleaned almost every day, which mattered a lot.

Everything you need is close by, from a cheap supermarket and laundry to some great restaurants. The apartments have air conditioning, comfortable beds, a TV, and a barbecue. It’s a welcoming place with great care and hospitality, just a three-minute walk from the sea. You’re in the heart of Laganas, but it stays quiet at night. Good for families, couples, or friends.
