Kefalari Suites

The room itself was a letdown: the carpet was heavily stained, the sofa and chair in the sitting area were broken, and the bed was too short for me at 175 cm, making it hard to sleep. The elevator also felt outdated and unsafe. Breakfast was enjoyable, but it couldn't make up for the unpleasant stay, especially given the price. At arrival they asked for a credit card hold, something not mentioned when we booked on Booking.com, which felt misleading. The receptionist was rude and said they needed the card in case we liked the bed and mattress enough to take them away. The tone was impolite and not what I'd expect from customer service. The condition of the furniture also raised concerns about maintenance and hospitality standards.

We were seven people across three different rooms. The rooms were clean, the place was peaceful and quiet, and breakfast was served in the room. The location is excellent, with all the key spots within walking distance. The young lady at reception was polite, empathetic, and flexible. Sorry I can't remember her name, but thank you for the great service!

For a business trip, the location is very nice, with plenty of good restaurants nearby, though the area is a bit expensive. The hotel is old, but the suites are spacious enough and comfortable. Cleaning was not bad apart from disturbing stains on the carpets. There's no indoor breakfast area, so breakfast came to our rooms, and it could be improved. The staff were warm and helpful, and I'd like to thank them for their hospitality.

I'm genuinely curious how this hotel got such a high rating or 4 stars. The carpeted floor is disgustingly dirty, and the elevator is very old. Its four wooden doors have to be closed really well for it to work, but in four days we never saw anyone use it. There isn't a breakfast room either. They bring small boxes to the room, with very limited food. Worst of all, for three nights it felt like staying next to a power plant. Huge exhausts on one side of the hotel never stop running. The noise is horrible all night, and the air coming out of the pipes is probably not the healthiest. You can't even open the window.
