The beach itself is lovely, with blue water and sand, but when I visited it was covered in rubbish. Plastic bags were brushing against my feet in the water. It was awful to see the sea like that. We tried to clean it, and a few English people helped, but there was far too much. The whole area is very dirty, and there’s plenty of rubbish on the seabed too, including tires and tiles. It looked as though people were dumping it there on purpose.

The beach is fantastic, and the hosts were really kind. The rooms are plain, though, and the view is wonderful. At €95 a night, it felt expensive, like Santorini prices. If you’re on a budget, I’d only stay one night.

The apartments have great facilities and the staff are friendly and helpful. Being right by the beach in such a beautiful spot makes this a little gem in the Ermionida crown, and a must do.
