Maria Beach Hotel

That week at Maria Beach hotel turned out to be a very relaxing stay, and we were glad we followed our friends' recommendation. Marina at reception had everything arranged for our evening arrival, and you can tell the whole owning family puts a lot of care into the business. From our room in the main "old" building, we had a spectacular view over Kissamos bay, plus quick access to the facilities and beach. The room had authentic character and a charming balcony for the scenery and late afternoon sun. A few things, like the TV and hot water, could use some technical maintenance, but it didn't really concern us. We found a spot for dinner at the restaurant soon after arriving. Its Greek food is high quality, especially the seafood, and eating with the sea right in front of you makes for a lovely evening. Definitely a great pick for time in Western Crete.

The location gives you a quiet stay with an outstanding sea view and easy access to the sandy beach. Service on the beach was friendly and efficient. Rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, though the seaview apartments look a little older than the doubles. Both types were comfortable, and those views are hard to beat. The hotel restaurant is fine for a simple meal, but I'd choose nearby Molos Beach Restaurant for a better dinner. Maria Beach Hotel is a real hidden gem and great value for a peaceful, scenic break by the beach.

We were treated like family throughout the stay. The rooms were simple, but extremely clean. I looked forward every day to breakfast at their open air bar, and the restaurant food was top notch. The kids loved popping over to the bar for milkshakes while we finished dinner. A hidden paradise!

The bar is right on the beach, with a fantastic view and friendly, attentive service. The staff were kind and seemed to really care about making guests feel welcome. The cocktails were delicious, especially the Pornstar Martini, probably the best I've ever had! We had a wonderful time there. The hotel stay was just as good: modern room design, spotless rooms, and service that went beyond what we expected. We were completely satisfied and would love to return. Great drinks, a beautiful view, and lovely service make this bar easy to recommend.
