Sarana Suites Crete

We stayed eight nights, and the room itself was a real strength: brand new, spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the essentials. The pool area was lovely, especially the rooms with direct access, which had big comfortable cushions right outside. There were also fancy sunbeds with thick mattresses, and the poolside bar service was a plus. It’s clear a lot of care and money went into Sarana Suites, but some practical details let the experience down. Breakfast was the biggest issue. It was very limited and exactly the same every day, so we ate elsewhere several times. The choices were basically boiled eggs or an omelet, but the omelet wasn’t ready in the morning. Once, after being told it would take 15-20 minutes, we waited an hour. The standard plate had only four slices each of ham, cheese, and salami, with a basket of frozen pastries baked in the oven. Yogurt with granola was the only other option. Filter coffee was free, and we were told other coffee would cost extra, though we appreciated that it wasn’t added to the bill in the end. A few other things could be better. There was no clothes drying rack in the room. Housekeeping only happened if you remembered to press the “clean my room” button, otherwise the room wasn’t serviced at all 😂. Towels and bed linen were changed every three days, or you had to pay €5 per set, which seemed a bit unreasonable for a place like this. It’s a pity to see such a beautiful property lose value over breakfast variety and housekeeping. With a few adjustments, Sarana Suite could offer a truly outstanding stay.

We stayed for eight nights and would definitely recommend it. The hotel was beautiful and clean, with helpful, welcoming staff. Our room was near the pool, and the pool and sunbeds were in very good condition. Breakfast was good, and there was enough parking. It’s well situated in Kissamos, with taverns, supermarkets, and other places nearby. Definitely worth a visit.

The host was kind, helpful, and easy to reach throughout our stay. We also really liked the pool area, with loungers and umbrellas, as a place to unwind after trips. Breakfast was tasty and filling, though it was the same each day; we missed having fresh fruit. Everything in this new accommodation felt fresh and spotless, right down to the nicely scented bed linen, and we felt at home straight away. Daily cleaning was a big plus. We had a great stay and would recommend it if you want a clean, peaceful place in a pleasant setting.

We felt looked after from the moment we arrived, and the hosts were friendly, quick to respond, and happy to share useful recommendations. The location is peaceful and suited us well for relaxing, with a clean, well-kept pool area. The whole place had a premium feel, from the furniture and materials to the thoughtful little touches. Everything was spotless, with daily cleaning and fresh, high-quality bed linen. Breakfast was delicious and varied, served with care and a smile. We loved our time at Sarana Suites, would absolutely recommend it, and will definitely be back.
