The garden, with its wildflowers and fruit trees, gives this guesthouse a lovely feel, and we felt right at home. It’s a quiet spot about 10 minutes outside Kokari, with parking available. The hosts are very welcoming, and their daughter makes breakfast and cleans the rooms. Breakfast is simple but enough to start the day. Our room was a good size and clean, with a little balcony looking onto the garden. The bathroom is small, as is common in Greece, but clean too. This is a privately run family guesthouse with antique wooden furniture and an old-fashioned charm. Breakfast is served in the host’s old living room by an open fireplace. If you want a modern tourist hotel, this probably isn’t the right fit.

We only wanted somewhere to sleep, but the towels and bed linens were dirty, and the place had a musty, old smell. The lights weren’t working either, and the atmosphere felt unpleasant. Never again.

The house sits among greenery and makes a lovely place for families. We stayed in an apartment and really liked it. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Kokkari.

The owners feel more like relatives, and they generously share produce from their garden. There’s an incredible variety of flowers and fruit trees around the place, and the peace and nature make it feel like paradise. Kokkari beach, by the windsurfing club, is only a 3-minute walk away.
