Kalidon Panorama

The hotel has a pool and is very clean, with a magnificent view over Kokkari. Its only drawback is that it doesn't have an agreement with a beach. I strongly recommend staying here.

The hotel is small and calm, with hardworking, friendly staff, and we never had to rush for a sunbed or a breakfast table. We loved it and will absolutely return. It's a 10/10, and I couldn't recommend it more. Our room was modern and clean, with plenty of storage, a big shower with great toiletries, a comfortable bed, and a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean. On our first evening, we came back from dinner to chilled water and a fruit platter, such a kind touch. Breakfast was gorgeous with lots of hot and cold choices, served overlooking the pool and coast. There's also a bar, plus lunch, pizza, and snacks available all day. The hotel staff were angels, so kind and helpful, and we really felt at home. The hillside setting gives panoramic coastal views. Lemonakia beach is a five minute walk downhill, with two beach restaurants and loungers with umbrellas to rent for 5-10€ a day. A little further on, Tsamadou beach has navagos beach bar, where loungers cost a bit more, 15-20€, but food and drinks are served to your bed. The water on this island is the clearest I've ever seen, so I'd recommend bringing snorkels. The hotel has free shuttle buses to and from these beaches at set times during the day. The walk back uphill is steep and takes about 15 minutes. If you're at all immobile, a cheap taxi is another option. Kokkari town is four or five minutes away by taxi, which cost €7, or you can take the hotel shuttle. The town is beautiful, with lots of great restaurants and friendly staff. You can arrange a rental car through the hotel, and they'll bring it there for you. We paid 70€ a day for an automatic. Just be aware that if you want to pay for the car by card, you have to visit their office in town. Everywhere else we went accepted cards easily, and we didn't need cash once during the holiday.

Kalidon is spotless, with amazing staff, especially lovely Maria, and a breathtaking view. There are free shuttle buses during the day to nearby beaches and Kokkari, which is also a short walk away. Everything about Kalidon was great.

The people at reception and the bar were the best part of our stay, really nice guys with great service. The hotel is comfortable, and our small room was lovely, with a fantastic view of Kokkari and the sea. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with different pies and eggs each day. You can walk to Kokkari and Lemonakia beach in a few minutes.
