It was a very relaxing holiday at a lovely, family-friendly hotel with amazing staff. There’s a stone beach across the road and a few restaurants and shops close by, so we had everything we might need. It was easy to take the bus to Chania in one direction or Kolymbari in the other.

Elena at reception was lovely and nothing was too much trouble, and Sasha, the head barman, was a really nice guy. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms spotless, and the hotel itself was clean and very nice. There are two pools, and the food was a little above average. The beach is pebbly, and the local government limits the sunbeds there. Also, be aware that turtles nest on the beach. My stay was positive, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel.

Our girls’ trip was such fun, and we’ll definitely come back. The staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful with everything, especially Alex, Elena, Nikos, Stavros, and everyone else who took such good care of us. Maleme Mare felt relaxed and not overcrowded, and it was very family friendly. The resort was clean and spacious, with two pools and a nice, clean beach across the road. The food was amazing too.

I’m here now and really enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, great staff and service, and lovely rooms. It’s a small, pretty hotel with well-kept gardens and a pool. The beach isn’t great, though that’s not the hotel’s fault, and you have to pay if you want a sunbed. Even so, it’s a great hotel, well suited to families or older guests.

A lovely little hotel run by a family, where everyone makes you feel welcome and like a special guest. The food is good, with a varied kids’ menu and traditional Greek dishes alongside other kinds of food.
