The view across the sea to the island on the horizon is beautiful, and the room was very clean. The host was nice, and there was a swimming pool. A couple of drawbacks: the plane noise when aircraft land at Herakleion airport, about 10 km away, could bother some people. The room furnishings are old, and the Wi-Fi signal is weak in some rooms.

We took the bus to Iraklion easily, with the stop in Kokkini Hani only 150m away. Pelamare's pool was good, but we barely needed it since the apartments are just 20m from the sea, perfect for a swim before breakfast. We walked about 400 meters to Zorbas Island Hotel for breakfast and dinner at the buffet. The walk was worth it: the staff were very friendly and the food was good. The air conditioning in our room was broken, though other guests we asked had working units, so it shouldn't be a general problem.

Being right by the ocean meant we could jump in for a swim before breakfast. We ate breakfast and dinner in the Zorbas Island area, about 400m away. The walk was worth it. A really nice experience.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. It's a very good place to stay, including for families, with everything together in one spot: a pool, lovely beach, shop, restaurant, ice cream, and pharmacy. I'd recommend it to everyone.
