The owners were lovely, and although the rooms are dated, they were very clean. There’s a massive fridge, HDMI in Toshiba sockets, comfortable beds, a warm shower, and free soaps. The separate restaurante downstairs had very good prices: beer was 4 euro and ouzo 3.50. Take Anosis a bottle of malt whisky. I’ll return as part of a tour of Pelaponese.

The dirtiest hotel in Greece. There was hair on the floor and beds, bugs on the towels, and an unpleasant smell. Don’t risk your health over a few euros. Choose wisely.

The host was really kind and helpful, and the room was very clean. The bedrooms have an old-fashioned look that might not suit everyone, but the hotel is affordable and right by the sea, so it worked well for a few nights in Kalamata.

We had a nice stay. The place could be cleaner in general, though the bed and bathroom were very clean. It’s only about 6 meters from the beach, and far enough from the bars to stay fairly quiet. The rooms and facilities are fine if you’re not too fussy or looking for something very plain.

The restaurant made every meal a treat, whether we ate in the hotel or across the street on the beach. After two weeks at Hotel Alexandrion, it really felt like a home away from home. My room was clean, quiet and just right, and the staff were always welcoming and helpful. The beach is right across the road, with a breathtaking view.
