The house was spacious and clean, with what we needed for a comfortable family stay. Best of all was the view. Waking up to that scenery each morning was unforgettable. We had a wonderful time at this villa.

Getting to the property was difficult because the roads were bad. The animals and cats there looked clearly underfed, and the owners didn't react when we raised it. At checkout, we were told to take the garbage out ourselves, which felt absurd at this price. The air conditioning was very loud, the bathroom drained badly and regularly overflowed, and the house felt old inside. The bedrooms were dusty. Construction nearby made noise and woke us in the mornings. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Anthi was one of the best hosts we've ever had. She puts her heart into welcoming people like family. Villa Kapare felt like an oasis, as if time had stopped and the outside world vanished when we walked through the door. We'd love to return.

The description of Villa Kapare is spot on, and the terrace looking out over Souda Bay is gorgeous, especially at sunset. I've come back four summers in a row, and this stay was just as pleasant as the others. There's a well-stocked supermarket under a three-minute walk away, plus a taverna 100 meters from the house where we were welcomed warmly. The owners are kind and welcoming too. I hope to return in future summers. A good choice if you like peace and a less touristy side of Greece.
