Petra Nera Skiathos

The reception team were incredibly helpful with tips and anything we needed. Aaron, also known as the captain, was funny, professional, and helpful, taking us and our luggage around the complex. Artea and Nena brought great coffee to our table each morning. Breakfast was generous, varied, and came with genuinely good coffee, not just machine coffee. You can tell the hotel is well run from how good the staff are. We spent a week at Petra Nera after finding and booking it through Booking. Our room was in the upper building, so we had a beautiful view and quiet surroundings without neighboring buildings, but also a steep hill to climb each day. We got used to the walk quickly. In the second half of September, the cozy pool area was never even half full, so there was plenty of space in the water or on a lounger. They also served nice drinks and cocktails there.

We spent a week at this beautiful hotel and really enjoyed it. The team was the best, and the staff were the nicest we met in Greece. They even sang me Happy Birthday. Breakfast, the room, pool, and location were all great. I’d definitely recommend it and hope to see you again soon.

The staff deserve a special mention: they were consistently kind and ready to help with anything, which made our stay wonderful. The hotel has been newly renovated, and the rooms are spacious. Ours also had a sea view. Some rooms are up a hill, but a friendly driver was always available to take guests, or you could use the elevator to the pool with a view and walk up a short hill. The room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels, and breakfast was very tasty with a wide selection. We couldn’t have picked a better hotel for our time in Skiathos.

Although we only stayed one night, the staff were very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. The location was also great, about 15-20 minutes from the last bus stop at either end. Our agency was meant to book us at Casa Blue Hotel, also part of Philian hotels, but something went wrong and it was full. The mix-up wasn’t Petra Nera’s fault. This happened after 22:00 and carried on until around 1 a.m., but they drove us over and gave us a room for the night.
