We first came here years ago, just my wife and me. This time we brought our two kids and small dog, and even though it’s mainly a couples place, Christina and Fanie gave us a nice room upstairs and we settled in happily. They’re both wonderful and helped us throughout, with great ideas for things to do and places to go. The guesthouse really feels like a home away from home, cozy and cared for from the minute you arrive. Tsarbou also has a lovely little garden beside a small river, where you can have breakfast, either from Chrisitna's hands or from the bakery across the street, depending on what’s available. There’s parking right outside too, a real plus in a small village.

It's easy to walk from this lovely guesthouse to the village center, and the location is perfect. Our room was very nice, with a fireplace and a small balcony. The service was excellent, and there's a nice garden and parking area too. If you're visiting Stemnitsa, this is good value for money.

We loved our stay at The Tsarbou Guesthouse, a restored villa that’s cozy and elegant, with a lovely terrace for breakfast. Christana served delicious homemade and local products. Christina also gave us advice about what to do in the region and how to get to the monument at the top of the village, where the sunset views are spectacular. If you're lucky, you might get to taste and buy wine that she and her husband make at their local vineyard. The tavern on the pretty village square is popular with locals, always a good sign, and serves simple traditional food at reasonable prices, with an English menu. Dimitsana might have a few more restaurants, but staying in Stemnitsa and being looked after by Christina gave us the authentic Greek mountain village experience. If we return to the area, The Tsarbou Guesthouse will definitely be on our itinerary.

After a full day of hiking, this was a great place to come back to. The room was beautiful, clean and modern, and the staff were friendly. Check-in was flexible too.

The river nearby and the view over the village make this a really scenic spot. Inside, it's well equipped and has some chic furniture. The hosts are cool people too. Tsarbou is a great deal and an easy choice.
