The owner was brilliant to communicate with throughout, and their dinner tips were the highlight of our holiday. They even arranged for some items we’d left behind to be sent by Courier, which was above and beyond. The complimentary breakfast was a lovely way to start the day, and the place has an authentic, welcoming feel. I highly recommend a stay here and will definitely return on a future visit to Stemnitsa.

A lovely spot for a few quiet days, with the square nearby and nice views all around. It’s also a good base for exploring the magnificent mountain terrain of Menalo. The house is a renovated traditional stone home, and Nektarios was a wonderful host.

The host was very efficient and spoke English, and we had a really nice stay before setting off on the Menalon Trail, which is great too. If you’re driving, parking is about 100 m east of the hotel. There’s a good-value meal at the local taverna, a five-minute walk through the beautiful village, and the route is lit at night.

The town has beautiful traditional buildings, and the rooms here were nice. I arrived in Stemnitsa by car during a thunderstorm, and a local baker helped me contact the fellows who run this lovely little hotel. It got me out of the rain, and I’m very grateful.
