We’re checking out of room 107 tomorrow. The apartments are beautiful and immaculately clean. A big thank you to the family who own and run them, they’re a real credit to the place. We’ll definitely book again, return, and recommend it.

The gardens and pool area are gorgeous, with really comfortable loungers and towels available by the pool. Everything is kept immaculate, and Maggie was friendly, helpful and always smiling. We stayed in the luxury studios in July. The rooms matched the description, but were even nicer in person. We paid €35 for air conditioning for the week, though in hindsight we probably didn’t need it. Rooms are cleaned daily except Sunday. One downside: the cleaners left the windows open, and we spent ages getting the mosquitoes out. As with lots of Skiathos accommodation, the studios are up a hill, about a five-minute walk from the main road. It was fine for me, but people with limited mobility might struggle.

Theodora is wonderful, and everyone is so helpful. It’s peaceful and quiet, with a real home-from-home feel. There’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but it’s absolutely worth it. I can’t wait to come back next year.

Lovely beach and a great restaurant at this little place. The rooms and pool were very clean. Getting to the bus stop means using a narrow, rough access road.

Maggie helped make our stay really enjoyable. She always took time to talk with us and sorted things out whenever we needed help. We loved Theodora so much during our week there in July 2019 that we’re hoping to come back within two years, this time for two weeks. The luxury studios were worth paying extra for and looked even better than the Thomas Cook photos. It was the best room I’ve had in Greece. Modern, nicely decorated and a good size, with a fully equipped kitchen: oven, toaster, microwave, hob and kettle. The fridge had a top freezer compartment that was handy for bottled water. The double bed had two single mattresses, but it wasn’t a twin bed; the bed and pillows were comfy, and I slept better than I ever have on holiday. There was lots of storage, including two bedside tables, a dressing table and a large wardrobe where we kept our suitcases on top. The bathroom was modern, with the best power shower we’ve used abroad. It had a handheld head and a rain shower head, both worked brilliantly, and the temperature was easy to adjust. There was plenty of room for toiletries and suncream. My only bathroom complaint was that the drain blocked easily, and suds from body wash or soap came back up onto the floor. We cleared it with the handheld shower and washed the suds away, so it wasn’t a big problem. Our terrace was small, just two chairs and a table, but exactly what we needed. Dividers between the patios made it feel private, and we liked sitting outside in the evening. The grounds were beautifully kept and the pool area was stunning. We never had trouble finding a sunbed, and the pool was usually quiet. Towels were available there, and the bar area was modern and well maintained, with soft drinks at €2 and a pint of lager around €3. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and we loved sitting at the bar with its lovely hill views, especially at night. The pool closes at 8pm, which left time for an evening swim before getting ready to go out. Rooms were cleaned every day except Sunday, usually around noon when we were out. The cleaner made the beds, changed the towels and did a thorough job. But she left the door open while cleaning, and we had mosquito trouble in the room on the first two nights, even though we kept our own doors and windows shut. I’d suggest bringing a plug-in repellent and keeping doors and windows closed when you can. The location suited us well. Manos supermarket is very close and reasonably priced. Bus stop 15 is a five-to-ten-minute walk downhill, and beautiful Kolios beach is a few minutes farther. We ate in Troulos most nights because we’d stayed there before and liked the restaurants, but there are plenty near Theodora in Kolios and Agia Paraskevi. Skiathos Diamond, Jimmy's Taverna and Infinity Blue are worth mentioning. The uphill walk back could be hard for people with mobility issues, but it also helps keep the place peaceful and quiet, without road noise, while still being close enough to get around.
