ZERO STARS. Please, please stay away. I travel every fortnight, and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I felt the situation was so serious that I decided to write to regulatory bodies. Travelers shouldn’t have to call the police or pack their belongings to feel that they and their things are safe. They shouldn’t have to chase brokers for a month over a very small refund the property had agreed to, only for it to be denied. Nobody should be called stupid, thrown out onto the street over a mistake that could be fixed, insulted in person or online, or defamed online with lies. There are good and bad travelers, just as there are good and bad hosts. I’m trying to bring attention to a case involving the latter. The owner, Petros, was extremely rude, disrespectful, and aggressive with me. We disagreed because I made a mistake parking overnight, but he showed no ability to handle the conflict civilly. I was on my own, which made me an easy target for his attitude. After I explained that I’d parked incorrectly because there was no proper signage and I hadn’t known, he called me “very stupid.” He humiliated me in front of other guests and cancelled my reservation less than five minutes later. It felt vindictive. He seemed to see me as a guest he no longer wanted around simply because I stood up to his rudeness. On August 10th, during that parking incident, I had to call the police to protect my safety. Petros held my car door open and said he’d throw my things away if I didn’t check out. He was bursting with anger. I’d never had to call the authorities or ask them to help defend myself before. I no longer wanted to stay, so I left that same morning. In front of the police, we agreed he would refund me. That seemed like a fair way to part and close the chapter peacefully. But he didn’t keep to the agreement. I was foolish not to get it in writing and to trust that we could leave things there. Getting my money back has been an uphill battle, with different made-up reasons each time, including a blunt lie that I’d refused to pay even though I’d prepaid. Then he said he’d never claimed that. Sadly, other people have lost even more money to him. I’ve uploaded screenshots, although sometimes this kind of media isn’t supported, and his responses to other people speak for themselves. They’re worth reading before you book. I also asked them to remove my personal data, but even their email doesn’t work. So far, they haven’t confirmed that they’ve followed my GDPR rights. He has no problem insulting guests publicly, as you can see here. I can’t rule out that he expelled me to rent the room again at a higher price, though I can’t confirm that either. The hotel itself is very sub par, with poor service and quality. There was no towel replacement or cleaning, no reception or other services, and sand in the swimming pool. It was noisy because of the junction road. The sunbeds and umbrellas were cheap, the kind that fry you, and the cupboard under the sink smelled because of the pipe running through it. Please stay away, for your peace of mind and so you can enjoy your holiday as you deserve.

We were there in early July 2025, in a superior room with a private pool. It was a bit compact, but the recent renovation was stylish, and the cleanliness and upkeep were far better than the Greek accommodation we’ve usually experienced. The pool was a highlight. It’s shared with the apartments next door, though a large screen gives it a relaxed, secluded feel. Getting there and checking in were easy, thanks to the owners’ clear instructions. Before we arrived, they pointed us to the local supermarket’s delivery service so we could order essentials for our late check-in. We also found a welcome basket with luxurious lotions and a bottle of wine in the room. There’s a busy dual carriageway near the superior rooms, but the nearby building blocks most of the sound, and the security shutters help keep nights restful. The central pool is beautifully laid out, with water jets, a winding shape, and free sunbeds. There’s no bar or restaurant on site, which keeps the days and evenings quiet. A well-stocked supermarket is next door, and two excellent tavernas are a short walk away. For more options, Eucalyptus Street has relaxed bars, tourist shops, and restaurants. Kolympia isn’t a party hotspot, and most visitors seem to be guests from the all-inclusive hotels farther down Eucalyptus Street. There are several lovely beaches nearby, though having transport is definitely recommended if you want to make the most of the area. A very good experience, highly rated.

Petros kindly lent us a beach umbrella, which saved us from buying one. We also made good use of the shared pool, which is nicely done. After nine nights in an apartment with a balcony facing the pool, we’d happily return :) There was everything we needed, the bathroom had been redone, and free parking was always available. The location worked well, with Rhodos’ beautiful beaches just a short drive away and the local supermarket around the corner. Thanks again, and see you soon!

Fine for a short visit, but it felt too cramped to stay longer. There aren’t any facilities on site, so you can’t get food or drinks there, though there is a supermarket next door. The strip in Kolymbia isn’t within walking distance, so you’ll need a taxi.

Sophie even helped us arrange a hire car and get some lovely birthday surprises for my partner. It meant the world to her and made for the nicest trip we’ve had together. The communication and hospitality were outstanding while she helped set up a wonderful birthday experience. My partner and I had a delightful stay at Paradise Gardens. The private pool was perfect, and several beaches are just a short drive away. The flat was very quiet in the evenings, too. We’d gladly come again and couldn’t recommend the hotel more.
