We’d like to warmly thank Angela and Mario for welcoming us so nicely and helping us with everything. The hotel is close enough to the center to walk, and the rooms were clean enough.

The woman at the bar was friendly and helpful, and aside from the issues below, we enjoyed our stay. The owner, Marios I think, came across as unwelcoming and was rude at times. When we arrived, he gave us a key, but the room was still a mess from the last guests, so we had to wait at least an hour for it to be cleaned. One day, while the cleaning lady was sweeping our room, we went to sit by the pool. All the loungers were taken, so we chose the couch farthest away, at the side of the building. The owner came over and said we were sitting wrong and weren’t allowed to “lay” on the couches. We weren’t lying down, just not sitting bolt upright the way he wanted. So we got told off for lounging by the pool. I hadn’t realized there were rules about how you have to sit, especially when only a few people could see us around the side of the building. He also misled us about the usual prices for drinks on the island when we arrived. Food and drinks here are marked up, so don’t order them.

The location is handy: it’s a 10-minute walk to the harbor, 20 minutes to the beach, and there are small shops nearby. Rooms are cleaned daily, though there’s no vacuum cleaner. My crew arrived too early and spent hours waiting in the scorching hot lobby, which has no AC. At least the room had AC, but when we finally got in, the floor was still covered in the previous guest’s hair despite supposedly being cleaned. Sleep was a problem throughout. Music blares every day from early morning until midnight, and the walls are so thin you hear the neighbors’ arguments, “love sessions,” football cheers, everything. Bring earplugs. The bathroom stinks from the pipes, floods whenever you shower, and has a broken shower head. The towels had brown stains. The pool looked filthy, so swim at your own risk. Staff seemed badly overworked and could be seen drinking and smoking most of the day. The BBQ night was extremely expensive, and hotel-run activities in general will cost real dough. The hotel bar prices are outrageous too, so get drinks and snacks from the nearby shops. This feels like a party place, not somewhere to rest. You can drink all night, but don’t expect a good night’s sleep. Management needs to stop overworking the staff.

The owners were super nice and ready to help with anything we asked. Everyone was lovely, and we really enjoyed our week here. The location was great too!!!
