We've stayed at this hotel before, but we won't be coming back. It's cheap, sure, but the standard isn't good.

The old man is so rude!!!

For me, Galaxy Hotel is the only place to stay on Kos. It's centrally located, so getting to the beach and other places is quick and easy, and it has a warm, family feel. Michalis and his team are incredibly kind, always around if you need something and happy to have long, interesting chats over wine in the evening. The furnishings are simple, but clean and perfectly fine if you don't expect to spend your whole holiday at the hotel. I sleep peacefully here, which matters a lot to me.

The hotel may be a little dated, but we highly recommend it and think it deserves a good rating. For what it costs, you can't expect five-star luxury. The man who runs the hotel isn't unfriendly like another reviewer said, he's just a quiet person, and he's always glad to help with questions. The room and breakfast were right for the hotel, with everything promised and no more or less. We stayed for a week and were very satisfied. It's a peaceful place to sleep and relax, close to the beaches. The car rental is just around the corner, and the nearest taverna is across the street. You can explore this beautiful island affordably. When we got back, staff had even folded neatly the things we'd forgotten to take off the bed. Thanks for a wonderful holiday!
