Gelli Apartments

What made our stay special was how at home we felt. Pana, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful from the moment we arrived, making sure we had the island information we needed and surprising us with thoughtful little extras. The service was top-notch, and we really enjoyed the friendly conversations during our stay. Thanks, my friend, we'll definitely be back! We had a wonderful time on Kos. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, and it was cleaned daily. Everything was always in perfect condition.

The apartment was about a 10-minute walk from the old town, and taxis cost 7 euros. We hired a small car for four days, and Panagiotis helped arrange it. Dropping off the keys afterward was easy. The apartment had everything we needed to cook, and it was all good quality. There’s also a restaurant with tasty food. I loved the Greek omelette. We skipped the pool because, well, we were in Greece and went to the beach instead. Most of all, staying here meant meeting Panagiotis and his lovely family. He grew up in Kos and knows all the best places, and he really makes sure you have a great holiday. If you can find a vacancy here, you’re lucky. I wish we’d stayed longer and am already looking forward to coming back. You’ll probably want to bring Panagiotis a gift to thank him for his hospitality. All the best, Firat and friends.

The shared pool area with the lovely Ampavris Family apartments is roomy, with plenty of sunbeds, a good bar, tasty food, and friendly, helpful staff. Pete really pays attention to what guests say. We tried a local cheese preserved in red wine on a tour, and the next day he brought us watermelon with the cheese, explaining that this is how it should be eaten. He’ll share advice and arrange tours, even making sure the company picks you up at the apartment instead of leaving you to walk to the meeting point. He goes well beyond what’s expected. Our apartment had a smart, high-end finish and everything we needed. It felt like a lovely hotel room with a kitchenette, and the kindest ladies came in to clean every day. There was wine on the table, plus fruit and water in the fridge when we arrived. We stayed with three friends, and from arrival to departure the experience was five-star. The owner, Panagiotis, also called Pete, clearly wants his guests to enjoy both the apartments and their holiday in Kos. I can’t recommend Gelli apartments enough. They’re superb, with a top-class host.

Pete's hospitality made our stay especially memorable. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, and we've never had better hospitality. My wife and I had a fantastic time and will definitely return. The apartment hotel was very comfortable and clean. Our room had a new bathroom and all the amenities we needed. It was also an easy walk, around 15 minutes, to Kos's main bus station.
