I was here with my wife for 10 days, and having a car made it a 5/5 experience for us. We drove all around Kos and visited every city on the island, which was really nice. I’d recommend renting a car if you want to explore. Boat tours are close by, and on Fridays there’s karaoke nearby at a bar called smuggler. It’d probably be fine to get around on foot or by bike too, but my experience was with a car. The place is very budget-friendly. For food, find restaurants rated 4.7 or higher outside the biggest cities and you’ll have the best cuisine in the world.

It was my first trip to Greece, and I’d happily stay here again. The owners were really nice, and I loved seeing all the animals around. The rooms were clean, and the food and drinks were affordable. Everything had a relaxed, laid-back feel, and the location was good for both the beach and Kos town. I’d absolutely come back!

What made this place feel special was its quiet, homey atmosphere. The rooms are set apart, so you don’t hear other people, and it’s a lovely spot to relax. The pool uses salty sea water, which was the only reason I got in. I normally stick to the sea, but this felt like swimming there. We arrived late after a delay and were still welcomed and able to have a nice dinner. It’s a family-run place with warm Greek hospitality and tasty food that isn’t expensive. Our room was clean, with fresh, spotless sheets and towels, a stove, kettle, some cutlery, and a small shower. That was all we needed. The beach across the road was empty, with white sand and turquoise water, and we had it to ourselves. The amenities might not be enough for some people, but if you’re after luxury, you can pay ten times as much at an expensive chain hotel. We got what we wanted for a small price. It reminded me of home. We’ll definitely come back for the sea, sun, good food, and warm welcome.

The food at the apartments was cheap and delicious. There’s also a supermarket about a 10-minute walk away, with a taverna beside it. The beach is close enough that you can leave your things there and walk back to your room for a toilet break. To get to Kos town centre, the No2 bus takes about three stops and costs €1.5 per person one way. This isn’t a luxury apartment, so don’t expect room service, a minibar, or busboys. What you get is a quiet, relaxed family atmosphere, and the owners are great and happy to help. If you buy food or drinks, it’s always “pay later.” The rooms were clean and quiet, and the beds were large and comfortable, though the cupboards could use replacing. They have plenty of returning guests, which tells you something. We almost never go back to the same place, but we’d return here in a heartbeat. It’s definitely on our very short list.

For €25 a night, it’s great, as long as you’re not expecting a 4-star hotel room. The bathroom is a bit small, but that’s fine. There are cute little cats and dogs, and a lovely, very quiet beach close by.
